A multinational tech company is looking for a lawyer with 5+ years' experience who is licensed in United States (Any Location) having experience with Procurement Contracts; Supply Chain; Information Technology; Cloud Computing; SaaS Agreements; and Human Resources for a 6 month engagement starting as soon as possible.
The work will involve serving as mid to upper-level purchasing, procurement or supply chain attorney to review new HR, Insurance, IT, Cloud, SaaS, or other contracts that the client is negotiating for a new company that is being divested. The type of agreements can range from contracts for HR, IT, Cloud, and other contracts, but strong SaaS experience will be helpful. Negotiating Indirect procurement agreements mostly, some direct procurement of HR agreements, Insurance Agreements, IT, cloud, and software licenses. Experience conducting risk analyses and proposing/drafting/negotiating creative solutions consistent with Client needs and risk profile. The amount of review on each contract can vary from adding some simple redlines or comments, up to negotiating with opposing counsel.
The work is fast paced! You will be expected to review and comment on agreements in short time frame. Must be able to spot and understand issues quickly, as well as communicate solutions to those issues clearly to the contract managers, stakeholders, and approvers. Excellent communication skills required. Ability to team and self-direct to meet changing prioritized schedules. The ability to stay calm under pressure is a must and the ability to “roll with the situation” and not get overwhelmed is a must. The ability to adapt and change with the changing needs of the team is also necessary.
Candidates must be able to work full-time. The work will be performed remotely. Our preferred pricing model is hourly.
Experience supporting a Procurement, Purchasing or Supply Chain team is an important qualification. The Attorneys will be expected to have at least 5 (but hopefully much more) years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, HR Purchasing, IT Purchasing OR Inbound Software licensing work. Data Privacy agreement review experience may also be helpful.
- The company has indicated that budget is a key consideration, and lawyers are encouraged to apply at their required rate (note: average rates for this type of full-time engagement on the Priori platform typically range from $100 - $150 per hour. Please consider these ranges when submitting your requested rate.)
- Lawyers must (1) hold or be open to obtaining malpractice insurance if selected and (2) clear conflicts and be able to act adversely to AMD, Qualcomm and NVIDIA.
- The company pays on 60-day terms plus ~ 5 days' processing. Lawyers must be comfortable with that payment timetable.
