Co-Founder & Chief Product Officer, Mirra Levitt, on Building Legal Tech People Actually Want to Use

Legal teams want technology that makes high-stakes workflows feel simpler, clearer, and easier to navigate. In this short clip, Mirra Levitt, Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer of Priori, shares the product “North Star” guiding how we build—across both our software platform and our talent marketplace.

The Recap: Customer-Practical, Intuitive, and “Fairly Beautiful”

Mirra’s starting point is straightforward: Priori should feel like a place users want to be.

“We want our product—whether it is our software product or our talent marketplace—to be a place where people want to be. It has to solve people’s problems in a way that is easy to use, intuitive, and… fairly beautiful from a product perspective.”

The Hard Part: Resisting the Pull to Add “All the Data”

Mirra explains why that instinct can backfire.

“There’s a lot of detailed data that we’re pulling in from different places… and there is a lot of pull towards adding in all the information and all the data. We think that’s the wrong choice often.”

Instead, Priori optimizes for a product experience that feels closer to a high-end consumer tool because that’s what helps people move faster and with less stress.

“These people are happier when it feels like a high-end consumer product… beautiful, easy to navigate, intuitive—so that it’s not adding to the stress of whatever workflow, but instead making it easier.”

A daily decision point for product teams

Mirra also frames this North Star as a practical operating principle—something the team uses to make tradeoffs every day.

“That is a decision point that I have to work through with my teams every day on the product side. Clients are asking for a million new things to be added. Law firms want to give a million more data points. No, we can’t do that.”

So the real question becomes:

“How do we make sure that what we’re building is… streamlined, scalable, and not… just a replication of the more data points you can get off-platform?”
